Financial Accountant

Department: Accounting/Finance Job Description: Prepare the financial statements for the Home Office facility assuring that costs are properly reflected by functional department. Provide support to plant partners to ensure that assignment of period expenses are handled properly. Prepare and distribute period indirect fixed cost reports and supplemental statements. Support the fiscal year-end audit through the preparation of audit work papers for Home Office and Consolidations.
Maintain and support the Oracle General Ledger system. Maintain total company chart of accounts to ensure the classification of costs, revenues, assets, and liabilities are properly stated for financial reporting. Responsible for all Crystal report writing.
Utilize the Oracle general ledger system to process transactions, retrieve reports, write new reports or modify existing reports, and audit the general ledger accounts for reasonableness and properly classified expenditures.
To actively support all Oracle general ledger implementations/upgrades.
Implement a strong system of internal controls which will ensure the safeguarding of assets, compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements, and the integrity and objectivity of financial and operational reporting.
Serve as an active Finance team member providing support on cross-functional teams. Incorporate the process excellence within job functions, ensuring customer requirements, both internal and external, are met.
Create miscellaneous invoices ensuring proper classification and accounting of amount charged.Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field highly desirable. 0-4 years of experience ONLY required; the position is a fast-track, entry-level position. CPA designee highly desirable.Skill Requirement:
Excellent oral and written communication skills required. Ability to communicate financial information to non-finance partners. Ability to work within deadlines and handle stressful situations. Proficiency in the use of personal computer hardware and software (Excel, WordPerfect and Internet use required). Hands-on experience in writing and generating financial reports, as well as experience in implementing financial software packages, particularly in a client server environment is preferred. Willingness to relocate and CPA designee desirable. Should be open to relocation.
